The High Priestess upright is a card of learning and mastery, like learning to playing the piano or reading the tarot cards ;)  All four items (the suits of the Minor Arcana - cup, pentacle, sword, and wand) are available to use.  These represent life - water, earth, air, and fire and when combined correctly can make an unstoppable force.  If you truly desire something, this card gives you the right of passage to go and make it happen.

'Shel Silverstein'

When the Fool is in reverse, it can mean that there is some hesitancy in embracing a new situation. An example could be not picking the perfect school because it is 3 hours from home. It can also point to someone being foolish in their thoughts or actions, have not thought through any consequences. An example could be accepting the first job offered without asking about location, hours, or benefits.

When the Magician is in reverse, it can mean have a negative belief in achieving what you desire.  In a sense you are in your own way from getting what you want.  An example could be if you need an 'A' in an exam to get into a certain college, but won't study to make sure you have the best possible chance of attaining the grade.

Another meaning for the magician is that someone in your life could be manipulating or tricking you.
